IT'S YOUR FLORIDA.

ADVANCE IT.

Florida is an affordable, safe and free state for small business owners, working families, senior citizens and young adults who are starting their families and careers.

Because of our affordability, safety and security, freedoms, zero income tax, high standard of living, economic and educational opportunities, senior citizen-friendliness and low regulation, Florida is currently experiencing unprecedented inbound migration, with no signs of slowing.
There is a downside, however, being a destination state. Our Sunshine State’s population is projected to increase by 1-1.25 million residents by 2025, according to the State of Florida’s Office of Economic & Demographic Research; an estimated 25-50 percent of these new residents (and maybe more) will migrate from states and cities that are unaffordable, unsafe and unfree.

Massive migration to a state or city has ALWAYS resulted in increased violence and property crime rates, inflation, higher taxes, lower standards of living, mediocre or failing schools, infringements upon guaranteed freedoms and hostility to small business owners. The State of Florida is on a trajectory to potentially become another New York, California, New Jersey, Illinois and Michigan (among others).

SOSS – Save Our Sunshine State is not going to let that happen; SOSS is a nonpartisan Political Action Committee (PAC).

SOSS's Mission Statement:

To advance economic and educational opportunities, safety and security and freedoms for all Floridians, by providing politically active, voting Floridians in all 67 counties with the tools necessary to engage, register, and turn out more voters in our Sunshine State.

SUPPORT OUR WORK.

Donations fund our voter registration and voter turnout work, professional staff, volunteers, training, events, outreach, messaging and mobilization. Every $100.00 donation will enable SOSS to directly communicate with, and engage, approximately 50-100 Floridians who want to advance our freedoms and opportunities.

MAKE HISTORY:
ADVANCE FREEDOM WITH ACTION

Let’s make history by being the first state to continue advancing economic and educational opportunities, safety and security and freedoms despite massive migration.

For 22 years, the majority of Florida voters have elected leaders who have enacted mostly beneficial policies for all Floridians. If we do not increase our voter registrations and voter turnout, we risk losing all the gains we worked so hard to achieve.
There are millions of Floridians who don’t vote because they are disillusioned with politics. SOSS will involve these Floridians in the political process, and show them why voting is how we continue advancing economic and educational opportunities, safety and security and freedoms in our state. If you’re not in the game, then you’re a spectator on the sidelines; you’re allowing others to make important decisions for you and your family about your quality of life, your future, and your freedoms.

We Floridians who value our affordability, safety and security, and freedoms control our destiny. The time to make history in Florida is NOW! Let’s get to work.

ARE YOU IN THE FIGHT?

ARE YOU REGISTERED IN FLORIDA TO VOTE?

GET ME REGISTERED TO VOTE NOW!

To submit an online application, you will need:

  • Your Florida driver license (Florida DL) or Florida identification card (Florida ID card) issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles.
  • The issued date of your Florida DL or Florida ID card; and
  • The last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN4).

Note: If you do not have any of the information above, you may still use the online system to prefill a voter registration application form. However, you will have to print, sign, and then mail or deliver your completed voter registration application to your county Supervisor of Elections’ office.

You should not use this system to register or update your voter registration information if you are a participant with the Florida Attorney General’s Address Confidentiality Program (See sections 741-401.-741.409, and 741.465, Florida Statutes). Contact your county Supervisor of Elections to register.

To be eligible to register to vote you must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States of America;
  • Be a legal resident of Florida;
  • Be a legal resident of the county in which you seek to be registered;
  • Be at least 16 years old to preregister or at least 18 years old to register and vote;
  • Not be a person who has been adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other state without having the right to vote restored; and,
  • Not be a person convicted of a felony without having your right to vote restored.

Notice: It is a 3rd degree felony to submit false information. Maximum penalties are $5,000 and/or 5 years in prison.

Registration deadline

The deadline to register for an upcoming election is 29 days before that election. You can also update your registration record at any time. However, since Florida is a closed primary election state, a party change for a primary election must be made by the registration deadline for that election. If the deadline has passed, you can still submit an online application at any time and it will be processed for future elections.

Voters who have consistently supported policies to advance Florida’s opportunities and freedoms must spend inordinate amounts of time working to preserve their basic rights, due to relentless attempts to abridge those rights. We are in a unique, enviable position of strength here in Florida, and we must capitalize on, and maximize, the leverage we currently enjoy.
Floridians who value our affordability, safety and security, and freedoms must play offense—not defense; SOSS is virtually 100 percent certain—given every known historical nationwide migration pattern, current data, and State of Florida projections—that the vast majority of those who move from unaffordable, unsafe and unfree states and cities will vote for the identical types of lawmakers who enacted the very policies they now no longer want to live under.

Logically, you are likely, and understandably, asking yourself: why would anyone vote for the same policies here in Florida? We don’t have a good answer, but we do have a compelling answer as to how to prevent such policies from taking effect: outnumber, at the ballot box, those who will vote to fundamentally transform Florida into an unaffordable, unsafe, and unfree state; and ensure that our statewide elected officials continue to advance our economic and educational opportunities, safety and security and freedoms.

Once a state or city deteriorates into an unaffordable, unsafe, and unfree place to live, raise a family and do business, the decline never reverses itself—no exceptions. Right now is the best opportunity and chance we will ever have in our lifetimes to advance Florida.

Let’s seize it.

WHO WE ARE.

Rich Logis is the Founder and Executive Director of SOSS – Save Our Sunshine State. Rich is a married, small-business owning father of two small children; as a two-income household, his is a working family, like millions of other Floridian working families. Rich moved to Florida from New York, in 2012, to escape an excessively high cost of living, government hostility toward entrepreneurs and “it takes a village”; the New York State government’s philosophy is that residents will enjoy freedoms only when the State says they can.

Rich didn’t move to Florida to make his new home unaffordable, unsafe, and unfree. The inspiration to found SOSS was a realization that most Floridians who prize our affordability, safety and security, freedoms, zero income tax, high standard of living, economic and educational opportunities, senior citizen-friendliness, and low regulation are incognizant of the ongoing, unprecedented inbound migration of new residents into Florida, from states and cities that are unaffordable, unsafe and unfree.

Rich will travel to every county in Florida, to advance our economic and educational opportunities, safety and security and freedoms for all Floridians, by providing politically active, voting Floridians with the tools necessary to engage, register and turn out more voters in our Sunshine State. He receives no pay from donations made to SOSS.

In addition to his work with SOSS, Rich is also a published author, whose works have appeared in outlets such as FoxRealClearPoliticsThe Daily CallerAmerican Greatness and American Thinker. His work has been featured on The Dan Bongino Show, as well as numerous other nationally syndicated radio shows.
